Charles coordinates outreach to alumni and current students in the College with the goal of turning graduates into connected alumni, working closely with the KU Alumni Association, KU Endowment Association and the chief of staff. He also coordinates the Dean’s Student Advisory Council and the Dean’s Advisory Board, as well as develops programming to connect current students with alumni for mentorship and networking opportunities.

Before coming to the College, Charles was a coordinator of the Self Engineering Leadership Fellows Program in the School of Engineering. Charles has professional experience in a variety of areas of higher education, including leadership development, community involvement, and new student programming. He earned an undergraduate degree in English from Drury University, a Master of Education from the University of Missouri, and is currently working toward a Ph.D. in Educational Leadership and Policy Studies at KU.
