Kim Beets has been an Academic Advisor with Student Academic Services since September 2013. She received her Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and Global and International Studies in 2011, and her Master’s degree in Higher Education Administration in 2013, both from KU. Kim advises undergraduate students in the departments of Spanish and Portuguese, African and African American Studies, Latin American and Caribbean Area Studies, and American Studies. In addition to her advising role, Kim also helps lead summer orientation advising sessions, teaches an academic success seminar - LA&S 150, and assists with various other special projects in the College of Liberal Arts & Sciences and Student Academic Services as needed.
